We have an extensive range of footage covering many topics. This is available for broadcast, commercial and educational use including documentaries, school and sell thru programme formats.
Footage can be supplied on DVCam & Betacam SP as required. (Digibeta by special arrangement).
Both 4:3 and 16:9 widescreen aspects are available.
PAL format (DVCam and Betacam SP) and NTSC (DVCam only).
Transfer and dubbing is by SDI or Component. Timecoded.
Timecoded vhs copies (PAL or NTSC) are available of any footage for which there is a charge of £10 +VAT and delivery at cost per tape.
All vhs charges are deducted in full from any subsequent purchase. There is a minimum charge of £100 for library footage. Rates are from £1 per sec.
Transfer costs are fixed at £1 per minute (minimum £15) plus tape and carriage at cost
ALL sales are considered to be "buy-out" with no royalties or additional costs and are licenced "in-perpetuity" for the project for which they are allocated. This "one off" system has received much praise and commendation for LDTV.
It naturally takes time for all available material to be catalogued and uploaded on the website and we are constantly refining more effective ways for researchers, directors and producers to access material and information. If there is a topic that you cannot find but believe we may have because of associations with the displayed material, please do not hesitate to ask.
There is also a substantial picture/archive stills, maps, books, 1st editions, photographs, postcards, "answers to visual prayers" etc collection including for example "Booths Poor Maps of London 1889". These materials will be available on loan to producers in order for them to be rostrum shot in a manner more appropriate to your given project offering you greater artistic licence than the possibly restricted interpretations of the LDTV library.
